Decal Component Oversized when placed onto a Static Mesh in an Actor

I am trying to project the decal (picture below)

as a decal component at the surface of a flat static mesh (road) , but as you can see in the picture below, the image is oversized and extends way beyond the limits of the decal component:

Any ideas on how to fix such an issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

I found the solution on my own. In my example, the decal just needed to be rotated 90° along the Y axis. Simple but it turned my head upside down for many time…
