Decal Component looks distorted


I am using the 5.0 EA build and I have created a simple yellow circle decal material and added it to a Decal Component in my Actor. However in the decal component, the material looks distorted and more like a square than a circle. Using the same material in a Decal Actor (added from the Place Actors tab) the same decal material looks fine.

It is not depending on my material, even the default material already looks faulty. Is this a known bug or do I have another problem, maybe related to the Paper2D Tilemap I am using?

is the projection turned sideways perchance?

Yes, I wasn’t aware that I had to rotate the decal component in order to use it on the floor. Thanks!!
