Hi,
I can’t get the in-game fog to match the editor settings. Sometimes it works when you die and respawn but often the fog seems completely overridden. My scene is using the day night cycle but with a Day Sequence Device to tweak the settings.
I created a clean ‘SurvivalIsland’ and added a Day Sequence with Fog and the same thing happens. Does it only work if you disable day/night or something?
I think there may be a couple things going on here. You may have 2 different graphics settings between editor and client. Make sure that both are using the same graphics settings preset (high or epic) and see if they look similar. If it is a graphics setting issue it is most likely because the editor is using volumetric fog (only available on higher settings) and the game is using standard fog.
We use different start distances for each type of fog in Fortnite which is probably not compatible with denser fog. To fix this you can uncheck the ‘Enable Fog Component’ checkbox in the day sequence device and add your own fog component. The default start distances for both standard and volumetric fog will be 0.0
