Datasmith workflow for integrating CAD model into character

Hello all,

I am looking to add imported CAD geometry into a character blueprint, so I can add AI and native Unreal animations to it, so it xan interact with the environment.

Maybe I am missing something, but can someone suggest how to incorporate the datasmith scene into a character type actor? At the moment the only way I see is to build all the meshes manually inside the character, which kind of defeats the purpose.
Any tip woukd be welcome.
