I am currently playing with creating a custom import function for a datasmith file using a Editor Utility Widget blueprint. When I get to the part where I use the “Import Scene” function while having the “scene handling” in the datasmith Import base options set to “Assets only”, I cant seem to get to the userdata for the objects.
It seems that the information is only in the datasmith file and the only way to get them is to use the “Merge to Current Level” and then get them from those “Imported Actors” that are now available from the Break. When I import “Assets only” I just get info in “Imported Meshes” from the Break and cant find a way to get any metadata/userdata from those? Is there a way to do this? I would rather not merge the file with the level if possible.
