Datasmith to Archicad 25 - missing geometry

Hello,

I'm experiencing issues when importing some models in Twinmotion.

Some geometry just doesn't import.

I've tried setting textures to two-sided and importing by collapsing or keeping hierarchy. But with no success.

What's curious is that if i change the texture or color in archicad, and sync, the object appears but then otherones disappear...

So I believe it's not the geometry itself that is the problem. Also because identical objects in other places do import properly.

I've updated everything.

I've also tried exporting a .udatasmith file but the same geometry is still missing.

Any suggestions?

Help would be much appreciated, as for now i'm stuck, and deadline is approaching...

Thank you for posting in the community about the missing objects in your scene. We have had reports of this happening when the multiply command/feature is used. If this is not the case we would need to investigate this further and you can report a bug by following this link:

https://twinmotionhelp.epicgames.com/s/case-community-page

In order to avoid this issue, the udatasmith format does not have this problem compared to the Direct-Link. I recommend you use that format for new project or this one if you have not started the Twinmotion scene.

Otherwise what other users have reported when using the Direct-Link is to:

  • sync the model
  • then select all the elements that were modeled using the multiply command and delete them
  • sync the model
  • Undo delete
  • sync the model

the same happened with me (but I was using navisworks), so I exported to FBX, imported to twinmotion and worked

The udatasmith does in my case have the same problem.

However the delete and undo method worked perfectly!
