Hallo,
Since export as a unreal datasmith file is no longer available in the export dropdown menu, we have tried to export meshes via datasmith ribbon menu but it turned out it does not respond. Nothing happens when we try to synchronise, press connections, export, export as… In Unreal direct link import reports that No DirectLink source available is. What could be an issue here?

Hi, I also have this issue. Sorry, i don’t have a direct solution, but my workaround was to use a previous version of 3DS Max and use the Datasmith exporter compatible with that.

Do you know how to fix this or why it might be happening? I tried resetting the ribbon, but that didn’t help. I can’t seem to create a Direct Link to UE, and even the “Refresh the List” option doesn’t respond. Sometimes it works, other times it just refuses to. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Datasmith, but that didn’t solve it either. Thank you.

Update:
I did a full CPU restart, but now when I click on ‘Direct Link Import’, a small error icon briefly shows up in the lower right corner. In the past, I noticed that if I keep clicking, it sometimes randomly works, but it’s very inconsistent.
