Hello, I am new to unreal engine and my current workflow is with 3ds max. My question is how do I re-import one specific object or material, because if I synchronize my 3ds max scene, all the changes I made in Unreal is lost. I select the material in the content browser and press reimport material but no changes seem to appear, I will also attach a screen. Thank you in advance.

- UE keeps track of what you modified and do not always overwrite. e.g. unless you modified the material back in 3DS max the material you have changed in UE should not be changed when you do a sync. Datasmith Reimport Workflow in Unreal Engine | Unreal Engine 5.1 Documentation
- If you do a direct link sync, all changes you have done in 3ds max will be pushed to UE and UE will take all of them. Let say you move 3 objects in 3dsMax you cannot synchronise only one of them with direct link.
- If you want to only update individually some assets then you do not use directlink. You save your 3dsmax scene to a udatasmith file. You overwrite this udatasmith file every time you want to transfer some changes to UE. And in UE you select the asset you want and you reimport it.
