Datasmith & FBX issues

I animated a series of links to make a conveyor in 3ds max. they are animated around closed path. each link advances and then pauses then advances again. When I exported it to datasmith and imported into UE5 it has changed the key value(where it stops) on all of the links so they will stop and creep forward the whole time it’s supposed to be stopped. I have triple checked this and it is animated correctly in 3ds max.
Is there a quick way to fix this other than adjusting each key in the sequencer?

Further more, I have parts link constrained to these links as they move to the end of the conveyor and are transferred to another device. these parts are skeletal meshes as the need to be bent and folded later on in the sequence. I exported these objects as an fbx and when you play the animation in ue5 the 2 animations don’t sync despite having the same frame length and frame rate.

Any Ideas? I’m stumped on what is going on.
