I get the plugin widget running and export my project through it successfully. But UE5 is crashing when I try to open it. I also tried to open it in TwinMotion but it seems to load it infinitely.
Has anyone being able to import a previously exported project from Sketchup pro 21 or 22 ?
I am trying to export a full house geometry, and I assumed that if the export through datasmith went correctly it would not cause any issue when opening it in UE5. i am on a Macbook pro M1Max with full specs on Monterey 12.2.
Thanks
Do you have any information in the log from sketchup?
Could you share the udatasmith file (and maybe the sketchup model) with me and @Antoine_Guillo privately?
From this webpage:
The Button to download the mac plugin is linking to the Windows (.mis) file
Is there a link available to the mac os file download?
https://unrealstudio.epicgames.com/UnrealDatasmithSketchUpExporter_Mac_5_0_3.zip
I will check with the team to see why the page links two times to the msi file.
hi there - i have Unreal Datasmith installed in the Extension Manager on Mac, I used 2022 download link for Mac and my SketchUp Pro is 2022. but the widget (with 4 buttons) is not showing up, and there’s no datasmith option within Export > 3D
… can someone help?
I understand that “Unsigned” isn’t an issue in the Extension Manager.
