Datasmith Direct Link (Revit to TwinMotion) No Connection

Yesterday i successfully created a direct link in revit (2023) to TwinMotion (2022.2.3). After making changes in Revit and hitting synchronize under the Datasmith plugin, revit gave me a warning which read "datasmith cannot export 3d view, the referenced object is not valid". After that i tried updating TwinMotion and datasmith. After updating Revit and Twin Motion i cannot establish a direct link because "no connection found".

Things i have tried...

Updating to TwinMotion 2023

Updating to Datasmith 5.1

I don't believe porting is an issue since i was able to establish a direct link in the beginning.

I am in a 3d view when i try to establish a direct link.
