Datasmith and revit 2023

Is there a rough timeframe when Datasmith will become available for Revit 2023 as currently it only works for 2022 and below.

Thank you for posting in the community and we are actively working on the plugin for Revit 2023 and plan on having it ready within a month or so and should be out before the summer. Thank you for your patience while we work on this.

Thank you for letting us know about the need for the plugin and we are working on this. You can try to export as FBX and import it into Twinmotion if that is an option for you. We look forward to releasing the updated plugin for Revit 2023.

Doah!! me too really in need of this plugin. thought I was keeping up with things by upgrading to Revit 2023 and hadn't even thought that Twinmotion wasn't already ready. looking to wow with Twinmotion but will have to delay the wowness :)

Install Datasmith for Revit 2022.

Go to "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins"

Copy "DatasmithRevit2022.addin" file and "DatasmithRevit2022" folder from parent folder "2022" to folder "2023"

Should work.

Thank you for the follow-up and it has been made available today with the 5.0.2 UE release and will be on the Twinmotion plugin page soon. You can find it also here: https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/datasmith/plugins

Thank you for posting your issue and recommend you fully uninstall the plugin and then reinstall it with the latest MSI installer. Here are some articles to reference so you can check to make sure the plugin files are in the correct Path/location:
