You could do it with a mesh and a fog material. E.g. a plane or a round mesh. Or you could use a post process effect which affects the color of the meshes in the distance. Or you could put a distance based coloring in all your materials (good for faking fog on mobile).

A lot of possbilities here

Thank you very much for the interesting suggestions, I guess I can play with those and see what works best for me. I think the first suggestion sounds straight forward so Ill go with that and post progress. Cheers!
