Kagekiri is a game-ready, realistic dark katana with a blackened curved blade, a glowing violet hamon temper line, a round iron tsuba set with a violet gem and a black diamond-wrapped tsuka.
What's included
- 3 LODs: LOD0 14,962, LOD1 6,998, LOD2 2,498 triangles (all share the same UVs and textures)
- FBX for each LOD, plus one FBX with all LODs named Kagekiri_LOD0 / LOD1 / LOD2
- Skeletal-mesh FBX (Kagekiri_skeletal.fbx + LOD1/LOD2 FBXs on the same skeleton): 6-bone skeleton with grip / guard / pommel / tip attach bones and 3 animations (Idle_Hover, Inspect_Turn, Impact_Shake)
- Blender file with the material already assembled
- 5 PBR texture maps, 4096 x 4096 PNG: BaseColor, Metallic, Roughness, Normal (OpenGL), Emission
- Unreal Engine 5.8 asset pack: SM_Kagekiri (3 LODs, 6 convex collision hulls), SK_Kagekiri (3 LODs, 3 animations), parameterized material instance, packed ORM texture and a showcase map
- 1 mesh, 1 material, 1 UV set
Technical details
- Size 0.1004 x 0.1045 x 0.9806 m, scale 1, origin at world origin
- LOD0: 14,962 triangles, 7,479 vertices; closed mesh, all triangles
- UV: left and right halves share the same UV space (mirrored), texel density about 84 px/cm at 4096; hard edges follow UV seams; tangents exported (MikkTSpace)
- Normal map is OpenGL (Y+). For DirectX engines flip the green channel
- Emission map drives the violet hamon line along the cutting edge and the small gem on the tsuba
Unreal Engine notes (import tested in Unreal Engine 5.8.4)
- Easiest: add the Unreal Engine 5.8 asset pack to your project - everything is set up in Content/Kagekiri (open Content/Kagekiri/Maps/Map_Kagekiri_Showcase).
- From FBX: import Kagekiri_low.fbx, then add LOD1 / LOD2 with Static Mesh Editor > LOD Settings > Import LOD. (Unreal imports Kagekiri_AllLODs.fbx as separate meshes.)
- Skeletal mesh from FBX: import Kagekiri_skeletal.fbx, then add Kagekiri_skeletal_LOD1 / LOD2 the same way. The *socket bones are bones, not Socket assets.
- Not tested in Unity.
Not included: Blueprints or gameplay logic (the Unreal asset pack contains the meshes, animations, materials, textures and one showcase map). Collision: 6 convex hulls on SM_Kagekiri in the Unreal asset pack; the FBX files contain only the render meshes.
