worked for D3 motion poster, entirely rendered using Unreal Engine 5
Greetings @praveenkumarappu !
This D3 motion poster is Epic! I expect nothing less seeing how impressive your work is with your Peace not War project. I am astonished by the cinematography, the camera angles, the amber lighting, the integrity of the assets, and the way the text and logos are displayed. Splendid work! I don’t know what Prajin D3 is about, but I am expecting drama with intense action!
Will your motion poster appear in public ads in India? How long did it take you to create this project? Did you create any of the assets? Did the director collaborate with you for the artistic concept of the poster? Where/when will the movie be released?
Praveen, what software do you use to create your storyboards?
thanks
Prajin is a Hero name [he is a south Indian serial actor]
D3 is the movie name
D3, don’t know about the story, the director had collaborated with another studio, and that studio contacted me to work on the motion poster. they have shared only the poster so I have to recreate the same thing in 3d so that I can give motion to it. they didn’t tell any story. shared only the concept ie flickering lights, rains, nighttime, accident truck, and jeep
D3 Motion Poster has already been shared in public by big south Indian actors, and actresses like Sivakarthikeyan, Arya, Vijay Antony, DD, and Vijay Sethupathi you can see on their Twitter page.
It took 1 or 2 days to complete. I already did some lighting in an old project so I took those and placed them here because of the time deadline. Lighting, backdrop buildings, rain effects, and roads are those I have already done in the old project.
only I have created the bridge side part. The bridge model is from automotive bridge scene. Rroads I have created for the old project using quixel bridge and mixer. Rain effects from soul city, backdrop buildings from brushify. Cinematics and lighting I have done it inside unreal
Movie release date they didn’t say it to me. I think those are confidential, so they might not have shared
No, I don’t use storyboards for this motion poster usually south Indian films don’t have a storyboard or don’t work on that. So,I have to visualize, or I have to take references, and mood boards to finish it. for mood boards and references, i use https://eagle.cool/ software which is an amazing tool for every artist
Thank you for being so thorough in answering my excited questions, Praveen. I immensely appreciate it, and the clarity as well! I have learned a lot from your answers!
I’m very happy for you that you were able to conserve time by “upcycling” things you have already completed for this latest project! It’s hard to believe that you’ve completed such work in just a day or two, but with a clear vision for what the client wanted, I guess this has saved you time.
I have just started adding Indian movies to my watchlist. I have never watched an Indian movie before, but your motion poster and the actors and actresses you named inspired me to start watching!
Thank you for the link to the mood board! I will most definitely check that out.
Have an amazing week! Kudos for having your motion poster shared and featured by those well-known and respected actors/actresses!
