Custom thumbnail too bright after saving to disk

I am generating custom thumbnails for viewing in the asset browser.
The thumbnails look as expected when first generated in the editor, but become a lot brighter after saving to disk.
This seems to be a bug to me.
I have tried to see if there is a sRGB setting to toggle on the thumbnail texture, but couldn’t find one.

NVM, I think it’s the component browser that lightens the thumbnail to indicate that it isn’t loaded I think.
