Custom Subtitles!

Hey guys!

I’m wanting a way to change how subtitles are rendered. In other words, not simply a font change, but a whole new way of drawing them.

What I’m looking for is to still use the current subtitle entry system, where you type it into a wave file. However instead of rendering it on it’s own, I want some custom blueprints to get that string and print it in it’s own way.

EDIT: Another question would be if it’s possible to trigger a subtitle at any time?

I think you need C++ to read them from wav file, and time correctly.
Rest is matter ow simple umg widget.

So best would be custom C++ node for blueprint that reads subtitle and triggers event when it needs to be displayed.
