Custom Game Name

How do I set a custom game name? Like say I want my game to be called “Test Game”, but I create the project as “TestGame”. How do I change the project name so it shows up as “Test Game” in the editor/game splash-screen as well as in the game title-bar?

Thank you for your report. We were not able to investigate this on the engine version you reported, but there have been many version changes to UE4 since this question was first posted. With a new version of the Engine comes new fixes and it is possible that this issue has changed or may no longer occur. Due to timetable of when this issue was first posted, we are marking this post as resolved for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing the issue you reported in the current engine version, then please respond to this message with additional information and we will investigate as soon as possible. Hi,

Issue is not resolved … I am using Unreal Engine 4.6.1 and my game project is MyGame … but I want the name to appear on the splash screen a My Game (with a space).

Hi jsvcycling and qdelpeche,

Thank you for responding to this issue. I have place feature request UE-7947 into our database explaining that space characters are not able to be used in titles. With any feature request, it is not guaranteed that this will be implemented into the engine, but I will be sure to keep you updated as this request is being looked into.

If you’d like to have your games name to be displayed in the top bar, all you need to do is go into Project Settings > Description > Project Displayed Title.

Thanks for the quick reply. I also want to Display the Game name on the Splash screen. How would I go about to achieve that?

Go to Project Settings > Windows and then you’d simply upload the splash screen you created for the game. If you want the title on there, you’d add it in Photoshop or whatever image manipulating software you’re using.
