Hi @DanielMagyar,
Beautiful forest environment! How many unique meshes did you create for this map?
@galconda
10 trees, 10 bushes, and 3 rocks.
But as I see there isn’t need so much tree and bush variations.
maybe 4-5 unique pieces of each category is enough.
I second this notion; it is a gorgeous forest environment! @DanielMagyar How long would you say it took you to develop this creation?
@Zezkaii
Essentially, it’s about 4-5 days from start to finish. But this location is not as detailed as, let’s say, the official PCG demo. I mean, at first glance, the forest looks very detailed, but it’s much simpler than the official one. So, the location isn’t meticulously put together since we’re just flying over it. Therefore, if I were to create such a beautifully crafted scene, obviously it would take many more days.
Hey there @DanielMagyar,
Hope you’re well and having a great week so far!
The hazy dream-like lighting combined with the music made the environment feel so fun and warm. It’s the scale of the trees, however, that make the assets feel so monumental. I’d love to see giant trees like these in a game like Ark - the immersion would be fantastic Do you currently plan to use these in a game/film?
Ah, I see, and thank you for the clarification! It’s even more impressive knowing that the process was quicker than usual and still yielded such stunning results! Kudos to you again for the fantastic job done with this creation.
@PresumptivePanda
Yes of course! I already use it in my latest stuff. Check this out:
It is tempting to publish it, but it is not in that phase yet. Furthermore, I have more and more ideas, and the folder is just getting bigger with newer models. And I am continuously refining them if I find an error.
This is kind of incredible! I love the ambiance the forest gives - that eerie feeling is sometimes hard to create with a base forest pack but these translated super well.
