Custom Fonts in UMG - UEFN Feature Request

Hi!

Since the big update for Verse X UMG is on the horizon, I would like to request a feature to have the ability to import and use own fonts and not being limited to the 3 Fonts we have since the beginning of UEFN.

This would give every creator the ability to build their own and unique UI designs.

I don’t think this will ever happen, it would make moderation harder since you can just swap letters around with custom fonts

What do you mean exactly?

All strings are being moderated when you publish an island, so that you don’t include words that wouldn’t fit the guidelines

If we were to have custom fonts they’d also need to download the fonts and apply them before moderating the strings :person_shrugging:

Gotcha, there would be an easy solution, just allow all Google Fonts or all base windows fonts which is also enough for us, but being limited to only 3 is not that nice

Agree. Pre-selection like Google Fonts. Allow to past some moderation requirement.

  • It could also a programming / verse access to apply fonts to “constant string” that fixed and packaged in the uefn’s project. So the game don’t able to play individual character to bypass moderation
