If I go to ProjectSettings->Collision and then create a new profile, it doesn’t show up in the list below, even if I reopen the project. It does show up as an option in objects in the level though.
The problem is that if it’s not in the list, I can’t edit it unless I use a text editor but that’s not straightforward. Is this a bug?

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue. Fortunately it has already been caught and fixed in our 4.8 preview 4 version of the engine, which means it will be fixed in the next official binary release.
Image I took while in preview 4 setting up custom collision for an object placed in my scene. Let me know if you have any other questions. It is worth noting that after creating a new object or trace channel, you need to wait a few seconds for the list to auto refresh and load the newly created collision channel.
