Hi there,
I reside in the UK so make all my purchases in GBP. However, it looks like there seems to be a currency conversion issue with the Fab marketplace.
A product that is $59.99:
Appears in my cart at the wrong price:
I would expect this to be closer to ~£48, the rate is currently 0.79.
Is this normal/expected? And if so, is there a way I can pay in USD instead?
Thanks in advance!
hi @blondielass ,
So being s UK indie developer, I chose a personal licence for purchase.
Fab Alpha (early Version) gave you a breakdown of your payment and the Value includes UK VAT, on screen but the format of Final live FAB VAT does not appear to show that until the transaction is complete which is very confusing.
If you did buy in dollars they would add tax in the form of a TRANSPORT charge from state to state and that’s mindblowing but PayPal did that to me!
In UK my Santander card also incurred a currency charge as well for US Dollars!

Ahh it’s VAT! That makes much more sense. Thanks for the help!
So I guess the error is that it says tax will be “Calculated at checkout” but in fact it already has tax included.
Hopefully Fab devs spot this and add it to their bug list?
(Though of course, just displaying the price in pounds with VAT on the product page would be ideal!)
Already asked this, they guided me through reading this in my Hyperwallet .
Why I am buying NOT selling!. The old Epic Marketplace worked because your EG Launcher was specific to each country.
FAB is global so don’t ask!

Epic always had a problem with currency conversion.
