Cue created in UE5, not working after uploaded to marketplace?

Hi everyone, I am new to this so pls bear with me :

I created a sound effect pack using ue521.

WAV are imported in, CUEs are generated. Then followed by (1) Fix Up Redirectors; (2) Save All, (3) removed plugins from the .uproject.

In UE, all waves and cues are playable. Seems OK. As shown below:

However! After uploading the pack, support email came back saying Cues are not working.

So what have I done wrong? I followed procedures I could find online but they had no problem, I am.

Any input is greatly appreciated. Or, could anyone point me to the way of getting in touch of the Support Team to resolve my issue?

Many thx for your time on this. :gift_heart:

Hey @szblade! Welcome to the Forums!

Quite a predicament you have here. A few questions:

  • I’m assuming so but was the product also sent to the Marketplace in 5.2? (UE projects are not backwards compatible)
  • How did you package your product to be sent?
  • When you reopen the packaged project does it open normally?
  • You mentioned disabling plugins. Just to make sure, your cues were not made using a plugin correct?

Any additional info you provide may help in solving your problem!

So,

  1. When I uploaded the asset pack, on the website I ticked the ā€œ5.2ā€ box as the version and only this box.

  2. To package the project, I clicked on: File - Zip Project menu to create the zip file.

  3. The project can be reopened on my PC with no problem, and clicking on the cues will make them play normally.

  4. the cues were created by clicking on Create Multiple Cues, no plugins were involved. However in the .uproject file, there was a plugin enabled by default. Previously the support email told me to disable unused plugins, so I deleted that block and the 2nd upload this check has passed.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Any thoughts on my above steps?

Hey @szblade!

Those all seem correct. I would try saving again after disabling the plugins. If you can, try and see if you can open your project on another PC, otherwise I would send it back in post saving.

If none of that works, you should be able to directly reply to your review via email and ask for more information directly without needing to go through the support ticket process. This still follows the 1-3 business day cycle for updating your review/replying to questions about the review.

Hey @szblade!

Were you able to get your problem resolved? If so, would you mind posting your solution here in case someone else has the same problem?
