just as a quick trouble shooting exercise, please can you check if your GPU is loose in it’s slot.
The other thing to check is if you have recently updated your drivers, it can sometimes help to rollback, this has solved some different cuda errors in the past. Also maybe switch from studio to game ready version of the driver or vice versa.
Also, for one customer helped, when he just reinstalled already installed GPU driver.
i just checked the GPU and it looks good, i also reinstalled NVIDIA drivers (studio/game old’s and new), CUDA toolkit (10.2, and all version from 6 months ago until now). Finally, i tried to reinstall RC but nothing
The error now is 719, failed to initialize CUDA device(s)
I also have this problem when rendering in High Detail. Its a laptop (3dgb ram) with NVidia RTX 3070Ti(8gb) built in. I am only rendering a small section of the model with about 200 cameras. Did you find a solution to this?
Hi Graham3D3D, which of the mentioned errors do you have? Have you tried all mentioned solutions? If you try Normal detail reconstruction, is it without the error?
Hello @Havryshchuk
This seems more like a HW error.
Which version of RealityCapture are you using? What is your CUDA toolkit version and the updated drivers version?
What I saw, reinstall of graphic driver (as clean install) and PC’s restart could help there.
Are you using more GPUs?
What is the driver’s number?
How big model are you trying to reconstruct? Can you try to use the Version 1 for depth map computation in the reconstruction settings? Why are you writing “drivers”?
In general, CUDA 700 error is caused by corrupted or not correctly installed Nvidia driver. Can you try to install one of the previous ones?
