CryEngine Humble Bundle

I think his tweet relates only to the asset packs from CryTek, like the Ryse packs.

Notice the package Plants & Shrubs includes around 20 hidden buildings from different historic times, inside a folder called “bush rhododendron small”, the files are in MAX and can be opened in MAX 2016.

That’s the assumption I’m going with, hopefully it doesn’t backfire on us!

Wtf  It feels like they’ve rushed the decision to publish these packs.

Yea we need to, at least the Madison Pike Licenses are unambiguous. A single tweet can’t replace these licenses.

@SchnitzelDude also big thanks to you for letting people know about the deal, much appreciated!

So can madison pike be used with Unreal engine? or does cryengines tweet represent every pack in the bundle

The madison pike license file says, that you are allowed to use it in every engine, as long as you lawfully acquired it. A simple tweet can’t change it.

But I’m not lawyer, so you have to do it on your own risk.

Asset packs from the Humble Bundle with the orange underline saying Engine Ready & Starter Project, can only be used with CRYENGINE V. The packs by Madison Pike should be able to be used within any engine of choice according to their license.

Not sure about the MoCap Animation Pack - Basic Military Rifle though.****

Looks like a lot of maya models have no textures files used in materials…

I just got a tweet from cryengine “@StuffeTeddyBear Some packs from Humble can be used with any engine. The ones from Crytek are CE-only”

I noticed that a lot of the assets are .ma files, is it possible to use them without Maya?

So, basically we could use all of Madison Pike assets in the Unreal Engine. Everything else(Crytek and MoCap) are CryEngine exclusive, right? Thanks!

Everything but MoCap Animation Pack - Basic Military Rifle, ***MoCap Paintball FPS ***, the Crytek packs, and Illfonic Survival are all assets created for cancelled title Human Element from the now defunct Robotoki, formerly owned and run by Robert Bowling, who is now Head of Publishing @ Humble Bundle.

The reason the Human Element packs are such a mess is because what you’re getting is a partial Perforce dump from someone not at all familiar with game development. This explains the mix of Max and Maya files, models with no textures, textures with no models, and other silly stuff. For the curious.
