Because it takes time with limited ressources and they are started from a limited engine, while Lumberyard started from CryEngine.
If it is not coming from Autodesk, it will come from Blender http://armory3d.org/download.html
A modeler/animation software with a 3D engine integrated will be another way for game creation.
Yes and that is a big reason why i want them to succeed. The SVOGI is the future and that have made their Engine very flexible and dynamic. In other Engines you must bake the lighting. In cryengine it’s all in real time. I hope that most Major Engines in the future uses this solotion
It’s shaders only, so they can at least make something similar and ways better than actual BGE visuals, this is a good step forward, but you can’t expect something advanced like mainsteam engines, because there is lot more than only rendering.
I would prefer some Unreal 4 bridge tool able to connect some working folders with UE4 project folder , and able to re import when it detects changes, somewhat like Stingray and Maya integration.
I know. It get that feeling that epic have made some really cool features like mesh slicing. But have not focused on volumetric lighting. Witch is one of the most voted cards on their roadmap¨
Btw what is BGE? Never heard of it
Surprised no one mentioned the pain of being unable to login.

CryEngine will stay for sure. Maybe Crytec not. Amazon owns their fork and some big companies are using it. So some of the companies will continue support of Cryengine anyway.
