Cruise Missile Flying Operation**
A short cinematic experiment focused on cruise missile flight, high-speed motion, military technology, atmospheric environments, visual effects and sound design — created entirely in Unreal Engine 4.27.**
For this project, I used Cruise Missile Manager, a fully Blueprint-based missile flight system, and built a cinematic scenario around it.
The missile passes through several flight phases — Launch, Boost, Post-Boost, Midcourse and Terminal — with adjustable trajectory and flight height for different stages of the flight path. The goal was not simply to show a missile model flying, but to create a more convincing sense of high-speed movement, scale, distance and impact.
I separately developed the visual and cinematic elements around the flight system, including:

One of the main things I wanted to capture was the feeling of a missile approaching from a distance at extreme speed. This required combining several elements — camera perspective, motion, atmospheric depth, lighting, sound timing, smoke trails and the final explosion — rather than relying on the missile movement alone.

The missile system itself supports different flight-phase behaviors, distance-dependent flyby sounds and delayed explosion audio based on approximate speed-of-sound propagation. The explosion effects and additional cinematic effects shown in this video are my own additions.
