Critical Error on Rendering Thread

HI Josh and quanmech,

I’ve tried to reproduce this using the info you’ve provided with enabling the Dbuffer decals option and changing the EarlyZ Pass options (All 4 drop-down options), but did not get the crash in 4.11.2 on my end.

The log above didn’t really contain anything that helped me to reproduce this on my end.

I’ll need the following to proceed:

  • A copy of the full log, and call stack from the Crash Reporter Window (Make sure to hit SUBMIT otherwise the log and call stack are not passed to our system)
  • Are you able to reproduce this outside of your project in a new blank project? If so, please detail the exact repro steps you’ve used. Simply enabling and changing the Project Settings did not work on my end.
  • 4.12 has recently been released as a preview. Give it a shot if you can to see if the crash is still occurring with that release.

Potential workaround:

  • Copy your project to a new folder with only the Content folder and the UProject file. Then see if you can open the project from there. This will reset any Variables that were set in the project settings, but it’s worth a try to see if you can get back into your project.
