I am a solo content creator operating under a registered single-entity business and would like to submit structured feedback related to creator safety and team text chat on consoles.
For moderation compliance and self-protection reasons, I intentionally keep voice chat disabled. In live voice environments, creators are exposed to harassment, guideline violations by other players, and a high risk of misinterpretation or false reports.
I am not requesting automation, bots, macros, or any form of client-side modification.
Instead, I would like to propose an optional, server-side safety feature for creators:
A single, predefined, non-editable text message that can be sent once at the beginning of a match to the assigned team, clearly stating that voice chat is disabled for safety and moderation reasons.
Manual text input via controller on console is not a reasonable or scalable solution. It is inefficient, error-prone, and can itself be misinterpreted as spam, despite the intent being transparency and de-escalation.
Such a limited and rate-controlled feature could:
- reduce misunderstandings between players
- lower moderation and reporting noise
- support Epic’s safety and conduct policies
- protect creators from unnecessary moderation risk
I understand this may not be feasible platform-wide. My intention is to submit this as creator-focused feedback for consideration within future safety, accessibility, or creator tooling discussions.
