Creative ideas for a Whack-A-Mole Game

I’m trying to develop a non time dependant version of a “Whack-A-Mole” type game for 5 year olds where a character pops up and the player has to navigate to that position to score points.

But need some creative juice, Just wondering if you guys might have some ideas!?

Som sort of labyrinth maybe where the player has to navigate from a central position to a point in the labyrinth where something pops up?
