Hi people! I am going to create a stylized (lofi style) room envorinment. But I am kinda lost where to start from. My first question is, how to give that stylized look to the meshes and everything? I was thinking to create meshes using blender and zbrush. In substance painter paint them by hand and create normals. after just insert them into unreal and set the lighting. But later I thought maybe no need to paint them by hand, maybe just set some materials to them in unreal and get the stylized look directly in unreal. I used these apps before for creating another scene but it was with a course and it was different. Now I have to use them by myself. So in both ways I have tofigure out how to do hand painting or using nodes. Could you help me to choose the correct/best way? Thank you!
Hi Ahmet, Welcome to the Forums.
Does lofi mean low poly? If so, you could easily get started making some shapes with the built-in modeling tools.
You could then export those meshes to Substance Painter to create the textures. (You’ll find a lot of free textures/materials on the Marketplace as well to experiment with)
hi Astrotronic, Sorry I didn’t get any notification. by lofi I meant like cozy looking. But not realistic, fully stylized looking
