Creating roof tiles

Dear friends, what is the best way to creat tiles like this image? I dont think that is creating the tilling and duplicating, will coust too much vertices to render!


If it was me, I’d make a mesh in ZBrush for that. One square, and then the corners and the edges.

When you put much work in a gamemodel, sometimes it is smart to think, how close and how often player will see object.
Sometimes, this is enough + some fakeshindels, where you come close. Google
Such a roof in real look is hard to make.
Sculpting it and baking normalmap to lowpoly, but the right look in the end is always hard for that example, if you ask me.
