Creating Massive Open World Game

Is it possible to create an open-world game on unreal engine 5 which is approximately 500 sq km. With all the latest features present in UE5 do you think it would be feasible to not scale or to scale down?

Technically it’s very capable, but how capable are you to be able to make something? You’ve got to fill the map with interesting things. For reference, GTAV is 75 square miles.

We were reading somewhere that we can’t create more than 20sqkm map in unreal engine for MMO. Even if we do the game start lagging
