Creating DLCs for a published game

Hi there,

Could anybody point out a guide with the necessary steps for creating downloadable content for a published game, let’s say, either on Steam or Epic store? I am definitely far from it, but curious to see how ahead of time these steps should be taken into consideration for a better delivery.
