Creating custom animations/poses within Unreal Editor possible?

Is it possible to create new animations by posing a skeleton and then saving that pose for use on a skeletalmesh, within the animation editor? The tutorials seem to focus on finetuning existing imported animations. By playing with the animation editor I found that one can pose the skeleton, but I dont get if/how that can be saved as a pose.

It’s possible. Just do a double click on the skeletal mesh - in the skeletal mesh editor you have to click on the “record” button - now create the animation - save it
