Creating clothing asset from imported Blender mesh

I’m stumped.

Created a mesh in Blender—a plane shaped like a petal, gave it thickness using solidify—imported into UE5 with default settings with skeletal mesh selected, applied my material.

Good so far.

Now have my skeletal mesh open, but cannot section select so that I can right-click and create a clothing asset out of it.

What do you think is likely the problem? Troubleshooting tips?

I wasn’t able to identify the exact problem, but determined that the material applied to my mesh was preventing the section selection and, therefore, the generation of clothing data.

Workaround: revert to a default material > generate clothing data > reapply desired material and… Bob’s your uncle.
