Creating characters/actors who are non bipedal

Hi

I have a spider asset in Maya which is fully rigged, skinned and animated and I want to bring this into unreal as a character. Both as background characters and as a hero actor.

Everything I can find in the docs and tutorials is aimed at biped chars only, with the scripts and tools for Maya also only working with biped/human rigs.

Could anyone tell me the process to getting my animated character into unreal please? The Maya asset has all the animation I need in it (stand, stand to walk, walk, walk turn, walk to stand etc etc)

If anyone has any help or advice to offer I’d really appreciate it.
