Creating Calculate Health function in Blueprint

I’m currently working on a top down shooter following the tutorials on the page. I’m using the base top down template, but since I didn’t create it from scratch I’m having trouble making the Calculate Health function in order to be able to damage both the enemy and the player. I know I can create the function in blueprint but I’m having trouble defining it. I’m also having a hard time assigning the calculate dead and is dead functions. Any help would be appreciated.
