Creating an Animation Blueprint for different Body Types

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working with Metahumans and want to create an ABP where animations can be used on different genders and body types.

I’ve found using an animation across all of them can result in issues such as:

  • List item

The shoulder placement being unnatural (EG: using an animation based on Manny will cause female shoulders to go too far outwards)

  • List item

Hands clipping into the body with models who are overweight.

I know that I could use Retargeters so the animation can better fit the body (underweight, normal, overweight, etc), but that will result in alot of animation clips and I would like to find a more neater solution.

Is there an animation node I could look into that could adjust the bone placement or would I need to use something similar to pose drivers?
