Hello,
I work in the reality capture industry and am looking for a way to showcase some of the projects we do in a central repository. I would like to create a virtual world that I can update with new models as we produce them. I have a decent workflow of bringing in our meshed models (buildings, structures, job sites, ect.) in UE5 but I would like to create a “base map” that I can compile everything we do as time goes on. I was thinking maybe starting with Cesium and cleaning up areas by cutting our areas we have our own meshed scan data and replacing it with our models. Also cutting out poor quality trees, buildings, utilites, ect and replacing those with available model assets that are available in Unreal. Cesium would just be the jumping off point. Does this seem like the best approach or is there a better way to skin this cat?
