Created a cave using terrain, modeling shapes with the terrain texture & some Minor kitbashing!

I like this idea but I’ve recently been wondering if there is an actual way to create caves using the landscaping tools?

There isn’t, since Landscapes are 2D maps viewed from the top, (heightmaps basically) there is no way to visually represent 2 different levels on a texture.

But is there a way to, like rip a hole in the terrains surface? Then kit bash beneath the surface of the island? similar to the way its done on the survival default island with caves.

Yes, inside the Terrain Editor there is a tool called “Visibility”, this tool will allow you to essentially hide terrain and remove its collision.
