Hi! I was wondering if you ever fixed this issue. I have just tried to use the “Create New Streaming Level” node in my editor utility, for the same purpose you describe (packaging assets I processed at an end of a script).
No matter what I do with the node, it triggers an editor crash.
- I’ve tried running that node separately from any other operations, as the only node attached to a EUW button
- I’ve tried to leave path empty (prompting a save dialog) or to provide a valid path
- I’ve tried to disable “Move Selected Actors” flag
- I’ve verified that the “Level Streaming Class” is correctly set to LevelInstance
No matter what, this node crashed the editor. Sometimes it produced an empty level file that could be found in the project after restart, just like you described, but nothing useful. If you managed to get it to work without crashing, I’d love to see your setup!
