I have several diferents models with animations and create chains ik is borring. 
I have never done anything with python is it possible to do it.
And where do you look for that kind of stuff?

nothing relevant comes out of chains or ik, so I guess it’s not possible yet?

The doc provides some example python scripts on how to interface, create, and edit IK Retargeter assets!
