Create Dynamic Material instances of a specific material with multiple static meshes

How do i create a Dynamic Material instance of a specific material (for example Scintilla_Main) on all of my static meshes in an actor

i tried already solving this issue by doing this in my construction script


but that did not work

Take one of the meshes and make the instance, then apply it to all

( OMG - third time lucky )

oh some of the meshes have about 5 different materials, and the _main material isnt always in the first slot (or am i not understanding dynamic material instances)


this happens when i try to plug the array elemt in the set material node

You have to make the node by dragging, you can’t use a ‘set material’ node you had from before…

i for some reason can not make the node by dragging off the array elemnt or loop body

when i try to drag off the array element then i uncheck that only reasonable answers thingy at the top right, then search for set material it just wont connect
