Crash Unreal Engine 5

Hi everybody,
i hope that anyone can help me.
I am trying to launch UE 5 from an old laptop. It’s for a temporary need for my cousin. The problem is, he has a weak laptop (i3 4030U, 4gb ram, nvidia 820m) and UE crashes at startup after have loaded. This is the error:
Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000018

Now, i read this is a problem of DirectX, but i can’t modify it on the app because it can’t start, not even to open a project. How can i do?

Hey @BestiaSuprema!

Please reference the minimum specs for UE5:

I’m sorry but these aren’t recommended, these are needed. The program needs 8GB of RAM to begin with, among other things. So it’s very unlikely you’ll be able to get it to start up with that hardware.

Hi, thanks for the support. I can start ue5 after setting in defaultengine.ini rhi in directx11 but obviously it is unusable. It was worth a try
