CRASH | Unreal Engine 5.1 Cinematic Music Video

I know I need to continue improving with all aspects of animation, including take recorder, as I ended up with a few jittery cop cars along the way!

Your animation and music in the cinematic music video “Crash” is fantastic! Despite the cop cars being a bit shaky, your hard work is evident and appreciated. Thank you for sharing it with us in the forums. Keep striving for excellence and reaching new heights! You’re doing great!

I can see you put a lot of effort into this video.
This is better than anything I have created myself.

Made me think of the Blues Brothers Movie - ( driving inside a Mall. )

My feedback on how you could improve ?

Work on the Lip Sync - some of the ‘mouth’ positions seemed off.
Because she is singing - you really focus on her mouth.

The Lighting seems hard ‘rough’ - more like a 90’s game engine - less ‘real’…

The cars don’t seem to have the right ‘Weight’… when a car hits another - it’s speed and motion is affected… also she seems to be on 2 wheels - a lot. ( I understand, she’s in a hurry… )

Just an idea - is it even possible to recreate a ‘Grease Pencil’ look - in Unreal ?
Maybe this look would make it easier for you to focus on the animation and make it more smooth, natural ?

Also - there was no ‘Big Pay Off’ at the end… she made it home in time… he’s still there…

I feel there is something missing… maybe he should have prepared her a ‘surprise meal’ ?

  • I just think it needs more of a ’ Punchline ’ ?

Anyway, great work, well done, I hope you don’t mind my honest feedback ?

Hello @Carrythecolors !

Making a large project is very nerve-wracking and tedious experience. While everything may not be perfect in your eyes, there is a beauty in the content that you pushed through to make. It’s very telling that you have a passion for this and I would love to see more of your work as you continue to grow.

I think the story of the music and the video itself is truly astonishing that it’s well. Keep up the lovely work! :star_struck:

I can easily visualize this as an Interactive Music Video. Just add the repeatable race/crash mechanics, a Player Controlled Character and put the song on loop
