Crash report client - entry point not found

Hi all,

First time poster.

I’m trying to install ue4 on my PC (win10) and I get the follow error (see screenshot) that the D3DReflect entry point could not be found.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
A

Hey affa_or,

Have a look at the thread linked below, as it should contain a suggested fix for this issue:

Let me know if that helps

Have a great day

Hi Sean,

None of the suggestions from the link worked but I solved it by replacing d3dcompiler_43.dll from another computer I own running win8.1 and that apparently solved the issue.

I am at least able to get to the interface and install ue4. Will let you know if I run into any problems actually running it.

Thx

FIXED IT

I know this is quite an old post but I was having the same problem, and after a few minutes of searching I found out you need to install Microsoft Directx: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35 in order to get or replace the missing d3d reflect file. Simply run it and it should install all the d3dreflect files into C:\Windows\System32. This worked for me and hope this helps anyone having the same issue.
