Every time i try to open my project it crashes with that message.
Is there a way to transfer assets from that project to other one?

Tried to reinstall engine and apparently cant do that (my subscription ended few days ago), how come I had 4.6 already installed and now I cant install it ?

Thank you for the information that you provided. However, I will need additional information in order to assist you with your issues.

Installation issue:

  1. When you say that you can’t install the engine do you mean the installer will not appear on your account, the installer will not download the editor or the installer will not run?

Moving assets:

  1. You can move assets manually via the folders made for each project. The default directory is “C:…\Documents\Unreal Projects\YourProjectHere\Content”. You should be able to pull the assets from here and use them in other project provided the assets are not the cause of the crash.

Launcher says I need to subscribe, though I had 4.6 installed before.

This is in reference to your issue of not being able to download the engine. Here are a few suggestions that you can try. I hope this helps.

  • Close and restart the Launcher and/or your computer, please try waiting a few minutes before restarting. (this is the most common solution!)
  • Ensure that you are running as an administrator.
  • Ensure that you are not behind a proxy. If you are, add an exception for the Unreal Engine (or ask your IT department to do this).
  • Disable your AntiVirus software.
  • If you are an existing user, make certain that you have not added any additional parameters to your Unreal Engine desktop shortcut (for instance, to opt into a Preview build). If you have, remove this extra parameter and restart the Launcher.
  • Right-click your Launcher shortcut and choose Properties. At the end of the Target path, add: -HTTP=Curl then apply and restart your Launcher.
  • Try switching your DNS Server.
  • If you continue to see a “Subscribe” button, please contact our Accounts Department at accounts@unrealengine.com and inform them of the issue. They can investigate if your account is setup correctly.
