[Crash] Crash on placing some Volumes/Geometry

Hey Folks,

i have a Crash Problem with UE4. It crashes on placing some Volumes or Geometry.
When i click on example a Box i can go to the viewport and see it, but as soon as i drop it, the editor crashes.
When i click on Nav Mesh Bounds Volume it crashes instant as soon as i reach the viewport.

Other Volumes like: Kill Z Volume, Blocking Volume, Nav Modifer Volume and Light Importance Volume works fine
Any Ideas?

Running on Win7 64 Bit, good computer and bla bla :smiley:

Hi Spaehling,

Could you post a copy of your dxdiag? To find it go to the Start Menu and type dxdiag into the search bar.

Hey, thanks for your reply. First of all, i figured out i still running in 4.1.1. I updated it now to 4.2. and test it again. another thing, its a while ago that i updated my drivers. maybe i should do this first.

So it is still happening in 4.2?

Also, updating drivers will sometimes fix a lot of issues, I would recommend trying that too.

no i doesnt helped :(. Still crashed on the same Volumes. I dont know if it makes a differnece, but i posted again a dxdiag. Driver are also updated now.

This isn’t just confined to one map correct, it happens in other project as well?

Could we also get a copy of your Crash Logs? They are located in: \Program Files\Unreal Engine\4.2\Engine\Programs\CrashReportClient\Saved\Logs

oh it is. i opened a new level and had no problems with the volumes.

Is your level fairly new or maybe something that can be easily transferred to a new ‘working’ level?

If it’s not, let me know and we can continue to help you troubleshoot.

well, good question. but when i make less problems, then in udk i think its not gonna be a Problem to put it in a new Level. I’ll give it a try.

There is no real level bluerpint atm. so thx for help, i give a feedback.

I copy pasted most of the Assets and it worked directly. I think the rest of the asset i copy paste by hand.

the Nav Modifer Volume and the Geometry Volumes working now. thx a lot.
