I’m currently planning to upgrade my processor for my project, as I can’t run cloth simulations without my PC dropping to 10 fps.
From what I’ve read, the R7 X3D series is more optimized for gaming rather than content creation. Do you think a Ryzen 7 5800X would be a good fit? I’m not working on photorealistic scenes, but I’d like to run some light cloth simulations. I’m also considering upgrading to a 5900X later if needed.
For cloth simulation in UE, or anything related to chaos physics, both CPU and GPU will be critical. Checking through the community, the top suggestions are:
CPU: 5900X or i9-10900K
GPU: RX 6800 XT or RTX 3080
